It has always been important to me to stay tapped in to my creative side. I grew up in a rural area and it was up to me to keep myself entertained. From sketching wildflowers (poorly) by the creek, to crocheting during long bus rides to high school, my need to create started at a young age. I am happy to see my daughter seems to have inherited my crafty genes. Most of the time she can be found making a big crafty mess right alongside me.

Polymer clay is my main medium. I first started using it to make beads when I was in my teens. I love to try new things and play with new techniques. I make things that make me smile. Sometimes when I start working with a bit of clay, I don't have anything in my mind to create, It's interesting to see what takes shape! When someone else can feel a connection to one of my creations, and I can bring a smile to someone else's face, that's really what it's all about. I hope you saw something that made you smile today!

In addition to the miniature figures I have in this shop, I also make dollhouse scale miniatures, I knit and crochet, scrapbook, and I make a mean batch of Peanut Butter Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookies!

A bit of trivia:
I chose Jellybean Minis as my shop's name because Jellybean was my daughter's nickname when I was pregnant with her. :)
